MINI'S EVOLUTION ON SHOW AT GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED 2019.
In July 2019 MINI returned to the Festival of Speed to showcase the brand new Electric Avenue. There was a lot to celebrate – from the 60 year anniversary to the MINI John Cooper Works GP Concept. But the star of the show was undoubtedly the MINI Electric, which attendees were able to see ahead of its launch in 2020.
Our current line-up was there too, including the new MINI Clubman John Cooper Works 306 HP. Accompanied by some very special models from the past six decades. We had some other top treats too, like grooming services from Murdock Barbers and VIP access to the lounge for MINI owners.
WHAT WENT ON?
THERE WERE SO MANY REASONS TO STOP BY THE MINI PAVILION IN 2019. HERE ARE SOME OF OUR HIGHLIGHTS.
GETTING AHEAD OF THE REST.
The MINI Electric will arrive in 2020. Ahead of its launch, attendees of the 2019 Festival of Speed were able to take a peek behind the curtain – quite literally – at our upcoming model. The MINI Electric was hidden in a closed room at our pavilion for special guests to come and see.
ELECTRIC AVENUE.
Our handcrafted street, also known as Electric Avenue, was home to a host of shops and experiences. There was the MINI Lifestyle shop complete with fantastic merchandise as well as grooming services at Murdock barbers.
60TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS.
In honour of our anniversary, we showcased a collection of classic and modern MINI models from the past six decades. A combination of the cars that have defined our past as well as the ones on sale today.
A FIRST LOOK AT THE MINI JOHN COOPER WORKS GP.
The MINI John Cooper Works GP concept will soon become a reality. This track-focused racer was on display at the pavilion for visitors to get up close to. They were able to take in the Black Jack anthracite, its growling grille and that low, wide stance.
THE JOHN COOPER WORKS GARAGE.
The garage gave our visitors a chance to get to know both the John Cooper Works range and the legend who inspired it.
THE NEW-LOOK CLUBMAN.
The MINI Clubman is looking sharper than ever. And guests at Goodwood were able to see for themselves. They were able to check out its new-look exterior including a refreshed front grille, headlights and alloy wheels.
CLASSIC MINIS ON DISPLAY.
Some very special vintage MINIs from our 60 year heritage were at the pavilion in 2019. A treat for both MINI fans and classic car enthusiasts.
