A test drive should be more than just a quick spin. We believe it’s important to take the time to truly experience your new MINI to ensure it’s the perfect fit for you. After all, you’ll be spending a lot of time together.
ARRANGING YOUR TEST DRIVE.
Ready to take a MINI for a spin? Simply choose your preferred model, time, and location using our MINI test drive booking system. Your retailer will confirm your booking and provide you with the closest available model to your preferred selection. You’ll need to be over 21 to drive some models, so reach out to the retailer if you’d like to know more. Once that’s sorted, the excitement can begin.
KNOWING WHAT TO BRING.
Before heading out for your test drive, make sure you have the essentials. First, your driving license to confirm your identity. Then, if you’re sure you’ll buy your new MINI on the spot, bring proof of address, vehicle tax and insurance policy to drive your car home. The MINI retailer may well have insurance for you to drive home but you can bring your own policy docs as proof of cover. If in doubt, have a chat with the retailer before you leave the house. It’s the best way to get the most out of your test drive experience.
PLANNING YOUR ROUTE.
Whilst the retailer is more than happy to join your test drive, you may decide you’d like to drive alone. That’s usually no problem, just let them know beforehand to be sure.
The retailer can also help with your test drive route, but you may prefer to make your own way. All good. We’d just suggest a combination of A and B roads to experience your MINI in different environments.

Once you’re back with the retailer, feel free to ask as many questions as you like—whether it’s about trims, finance options, or anything else. There’s no pressure to decide on the spot. Take your time, even do a little more research, and if you want another spin or to try a different MINI, that’s absolutely fine. Of course, we think you’ll be blown away—but we’ll let you be the judge.
