EVERYONE’S A RUNNER WITH THE MINI X PARKRUN BIG LOVE BOOTBANK .
At MINI we’re on a Big Love mission to make people feel good, to make the world a little brighter and to make sure everyone is welcomed into our communities.
So last month, we rocked up to Southampton parkrun for the launch of our MINI Big Love Bootbank – a place where parkrunners (and spectators) can donate running gear to communities that need it most. And that they certainly did, with over 300 donations on its very first outing!
To get a feel for what the lovely Southampton parkrunners thought of the initiative, we talked to a few of the 661 attendees there on the day…
MAKING A DIFFERENCE,
ONE PAIR AT A TIME.
When we pulled up at Southampton parkrun in our MINI Electric we hoped we’d find many lovely people keen to make a difference. But even then, we were absolutely blown away to receive three boot-loads worth of kit – over 300 pieces in total – from tights and tees, to shorts and shoes. A huge MINI thanks to everyone. The kit was then donated to the amazing charity Preloved Sports, who are dedicated to reducing clothes waste and giving everyone what they need to try running.
ALREADY MAKING STRIDES.
Parkrun is not about PBs, elite fitness or individual glory; it’s about good vibes, community spirit and cheering people on. Sounds a lot like MINI, right? So when the chance came for us to continue our partnership, it was truly a no-brainer. Because we can’t think of anyone else that supports the meaning of Big Love quite like parkrun.

After success at Southampton, we want to maintain the pace. Keep your eyes peeled for the Big Love Bootbank heading to a parkrun near you.
