MINI AT THE LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL 2023.

MINI LDF Morag Myerscough

Get ready for the ultimate display of creativity, imagination and innovation. London Design Festival 2023 is just around the corner – and we’ll be heading to Shoreditch Electric Light Station with a very special MINI exhibition between 16-19 September.

Multi-award-winning artist Morag Myerscough has been busy creating a beautifully bright and immersive installation to give you a glimpse of what’s round the corner for MINI, including some very special four-wheeled guests.

Morag Myerscough

MINI x MORAG MYERSCOUGH.

It turns out we have loads in common with Morag. We both love spreading good vibes. We both like to mix heritage with innovation. And we’re both known for making a big impact with small spaces. It’s these values that have shaped the installation – designed in Morag’s iconic style and named ‘Nice to Meet You Again’. This vibrant urban world combines tradition with technology (a bit like us, hey?) taking you on a sensory journey into an all-electric future. Think loads of greenery, bright colours, sweet scents and soothing sounds.

In the words of Morag, her MINI world is “aspirational, magical and a possible future for the city. There are shared streets, shared cars, clutter removed and offering a positive future within a renewable context. I want people to feel uplifted by these possibilities. The plants are as big as the houses.” Sounds good to us.

SOME VERY SPECIAL GUESTS.

“Nice to meet you again” is what we might say to our two brand-new yet wonderfully familiar MINI models taking centre stage in Morag’s colourful world. The new MINI Countryman and new all-electric MINI Cooper mark the start of an exciting new era – delivering the perfect combo of electrified performance, cutting-edge technology and daring design, without losing that iconic MINI style. Get up close, have a nosy at their unique styling and be one of the first to witness the next generation of MINI.

Hidden behind a meadow façad and surrounded by her feel-good designs, the immersive installation is a way to find out more and is home to an alfresco courtyard where you can grab a coffee. There will also be a space to enjoy talks from guest speakers, with topics ranging from psychology of colour to urban mobility and our brand-new MINI generation.
